The Gumball 3000 made its only Canadian stop this past Friday in Toronto. Celebrating the 14th edition of the cross-country event, teams began in New York on the 25th and made their way 3000 miles to Los Angeles by the 30th. The over 100-car rally stopped in Toronto, Indianapolis (for the Indy 500), Kansas City, New Mexico and Las Vegas.
For the Toronto stop, celebrities like Bun B and Toronto’s own Zark Fatah made their way along Bloor & Yorkville streets before making their way down to the official party at Maison.
The rally has strived to combine art, music, automobiles and film into their events and Maison was the perfect place to have them come together. After making your way past a procession of rare and exotic cars, and having your picture taken with Gumball Girls, you made your way into Maison. Immediately you were surrounded by the sounds of DJ Chris Aidy and shortly after you were drinking something from the Moet & Belvedere stock. Those who made their way down also got to rub shoulders with Mark Bocek, Jessie Sulidis, members of the Toronto Marlies and more.
The night was a great success not only for the rally, but the people in Toronto who made it a possibility. Many thanks to everyone involved!
