A new food experience titled “Dishcrawl” has made its way to Toronto and has garnered quite an underground buzz for it’s first event on Wednesday, Oct. 5th, for its’ refreshing new take on the city’s food scene. “Dishcrawl” seeks to provide a bar-hop-type social experience, but with dinner instead of alcohol. Participants hop to four different restaurants in one neighbourhood and experience the cuisines of each one. The locations aren’t revealed until 2 days before the event. A short meet and greet with the chef along with a presentation of the food is included in the cost (which is a reasonable $39, not including beverages).
Toronto organizer, Gretchen Wilson says, “The idea is to connect the people of Toronto with their city through various restaurants – from fine-dining, to local hot-spots. People will have a chance to experience the many exciting and unusual flavours our city has to offer. And, they’ll meet fellow foodies, and discover new parts of the city.”
