Introducing Kwame Delfish

Kwame Delfish was born and raised in Toronto. He studied at Sheridan College in the Classical Animation program, and furthered his studies in the field of Classical Art at the Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD). His work speaks for itself… take a minute to check out some of his artwork below.

O CANADA
Paying homage to the cultural influences that make me who I am. Through a truly proud depiction of the Canadian flag, I paired together the imagery of both Canadian and Caribbean culture. The end result is a piece that demonstrates the importance of being rooted in my Caribbean heritage, while celebrating the honour of being Canadian.

VICTORY
On November 4th, 2008 Barack Obama delivered a presidential victory speech which gave hope to people all around the world that change is possible. “Victory” is a depiction of this inspirational and historic speech transforming into the image of the man from which it came. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. These 2,049 words, this speech, is worth one picture.

J’OUVERT – MUD MAS

“My work is a personal exploration of the seemingly non-existent relationship between classical art & pop-culture.”
