It was a day many will remember not only as a part of Canadian music history, but music history in general, that will never repeat itself. Drake’s OVO Fest was epic in proportion. Selling out the Molson Amphitheatre is a huge accomplishment in its own right, but to do it with a surprise all-star guest line-up is another story. Drake brought some heavy hitters in the game to be a part of the first annual OVO Fest, including… Hot 97 DJ Cipha Sounds, Bun B, Jeezy, Fabolous, Rick Ross, Eminem, and Jay-Z.
Our big homie DJ CIpha Sounds from New York’s Hot 97 helped to create another piece of history for Toronto. Midway through his set, he stopped the music and changed into his 1 LOVE T.O. t-shirt for thousands of screaming fans to see! It’s a beautiful thing when people from out of town appreciate what a city like Toronto has to offer.
We’d also like to send a big shout out to Bun B from the legendary UGK for repping 1 LOVE T.O.
And to our little big brother, Drizzy… we’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again, CONGRATULATIONS!
